When I created this blog, my intention was to help promote independent business owners. After hearing about Parker and his family, in Salt Lake City, Utah I thought, why not use this blog and Scentsy to help a family in need as well.
So after a little bit of brainstorming with my sister-in-law, we came up with this idea...
For every $5.00 donated to "Parker's Tip Jar," along with a comment on this FUN FREE Giveaways blog, your name will automatically be entered into a drawing to win 1 of the upcoming popular Scentsy Holiday Christmas Warmers. CLICK HERE to view the exciting new Holiday Christmas Scentsy Warmers.
Two people will have the pleasure of winning. If more than $500 is raised for Parker I will also contribute 2 additional Scentsy Holiday Plug-In Warmers. It's that easy.
Your name will be entered into the drawing for each $5.00 you donate. For example, if you donate $20.00 your name will entered into the drawing 4 times.

Parker was born 6 weeks early with pulmonary hypertension, chronic lung disease, a tethered spinal cord, an imperforate anus (he wore a colostomy bag until just last year) and has had to undergo many many surgeries and procedures in his short (almost) 5 years. Parker is traced, is fed via a g-tube and requires oxygen 24/7 as well as a vent to breathe when he sleeps. He also requires several medications many times during the day. Parker also proudly carries an extra chromosome, which is better known as Down syndrome. That has never mattered, nor will it ever be an issue for us. We just want to keep our Brave Hero alive. While we do have private insurance, Parker's coverage will soon be running out very soon. Parker does qualify for the Travis C. Waiver due to his vent and trach. However, budget cuts in the state of Utah are affecting this coverage that already doesn't pay for many of Parker's needs such as his $2,000 dollar a month drug for pulmonary hypertension. We are terrified as to what the future will bring regarding our ability to provide Parker with the medical care he needs. We just received some very discouraging results from Parker's latest right heart cath last Friday. We now have appointments with many specialists up at Primary Children's Hospital for the month of October. Just the cost of fuel for these trips is very expensive as we drive over an hour each way to meet with each specialist and attend testing procedures. Our family is very grateful to Katie and Kaylene for offering this fundrasier for Parker to help us keep our Brave Hero alive and well. I know how popular Scentsy is and I think people would love an opportunity to win one in a raffle. Thank you so much! ~ Parker's Mom
